Default upriver coho

Labor Day ... oops, time to catch up on a whole summer's worth of house maintenance. I'm hoping to sneak out and hit the Willamette for a little bit - Oregon City area.

Any advice on what a silver will bite on out there & how deep they run, etc. etc. etc. ??? Anyone else going out there - like Monday AM ?

Phishy,
I'll be out Monday Morn at first light. Try trolling bright orange wiggle warts or red with black striped warts. I'm gonna try a few other secret killer plugs that I did well with the native coho on early last winter. If you are out there on Monday look for me in an older red 21' Alumaweld inboard Formula V.

See Ya

Is trolling in the Willamette for silvers pretty much centered around O.C. or can one do well, say in the Milwaukie area on up? Just checking...

Tanner,

Are you just flat-lining those warts or are you running a lead dropper on them. Just curious. I've seen the crowd that can accumulate there and don't know if you could get away with just running your line straight to the plug. Also, how deep do those fish usually hold?
