I'd try some of the local rivers with jigs.
Check your regs. Most rivers are open to bait Sept 1, but not the Kilchis, and a couple others, I think.
That always bugs me! Why is the K not open till the 15th? Not fair!
Not that there is anything up here yet, but STILL!
I think that I would actually go for the upper Nehalem, or perhaps jetty fishing for silvers off one of the jetties.
Anyone done this around here?

Here is what I would do:

1. Nehalem Jetty, buzz bombs or hearing under a bobber for silvers.

2. Salmon river for early chinook. Eggs/shrimp either drifted or under a bobbber

3. Nestucca, bobber fish the boat ramp in PC or the guard rail hole 2 hrs prior to and through low slack.

4. Upper Wilson for summers

5. Bober fish silvers in tidewater on the N. Fk. Nehalem (limited bank access)

In my estimation these are your best bank shots
