British Invasion, why all the sudden focus?
British invasion, why all the sudden focus for these stupid shows with British accent judges, chefs, monologgers, doctors on tv and so on? It's to the point of becoming more than boring really.
Example. The show "The Next Great American Band". The stinking host is a Brit and one of the Judges is a Brit. Kind of an oxymoron if you think about it. Are we so in love with the British accent that we must have it on TV now more than ever?
Yes I know it is a silly rant but come on now. Is Ameri-ker that void of talent for TV?

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Accent's are fake, So called Reality TV invasion is what I see, everything from next top Model, to World Poker Tour, & everything in between, I guess as long as people are wiling to watch this stuff, & the commercials, than they'll continue to show them.

24/7/365 programing for 200+ channels consumes a lot of material. These shows are cheap to produce and need relatively little off-air talent (writers, etc.).
