Default Fish On!

Hopped the bar and fished the big blue yesterday and today with awesom results. We were back at the dock with limits both days by noon. We started fishing at buoy 4 and within 25 minutes we went through 2 dozen herring. Man what a day. We put 2 nooks (25 and a honest 30 pounder) in the boat with a limit of silvers for 2 rods in the boat yesterday. We fished 3 people with 12 silvers to show in the box for today. We also stopped and did the buoy 10 thing for a little bit to finish off the day and remander of the limits. We ended up hooking a nice nook today between 10 and the yellow can but had to release it. We brought more salmon to my boat in the last 2 days than I can count. I was stationed in Alaska (Army) for 4 years and I can honestly say that the last 2 days were the best Salmon trips I can remember

Capn Dan,
Sorry I missed you. I was between 4 and 2 for most of the morning. You were right about the conditions. We probably hit 3 to 4 foot swells on the way out over the bar this morning and when we ventured back in, we were going 30 mph back to 10. SWEET! We hit our best bite in about 90 feet of water. We hit fish on about everything we put out. We even hit some nice ones on some spoons when we were running thin on bait.
