Ever heard of Scrip?
Scrip is a fundraising program put on by the school PTA. The PTA buys gift cards at a discounted rate and sells them to you at face value. This is a great fundraiser because there is no extra dollars that you have to spend.
Most PTA programs have a huge list of Scrip you can buy, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Starbucks, Olive Garden, Movies, Cabelas, Joes, etc.
Just thought I’d pass on the word
Thanks

Re: Ever heard of Scrip?
When my wife and I were involved the the Central High School Panther Club (sports booster club), a scrip program was started for fund raising purposes. It took awhile for it to catch on, but it seems to be a steady source of money now. The problem is that most people have a hard time paying for the gift cards up front before they actually receive goods or services. SG

Yep...we use it too. My wife's school has it there.

Re: Ever heard of Scrip?
Any non-profit organization can apply to use a scrip program. It makes good sense if you can get your supporters organized to use it consistently.

Re: Ever heard of Scrip?
My business usually always participates, we sell our products to the school at a big discount and they re-sell at face value. We look at it like good publicity and it does help the schools.

Re: Ever heard of Scrip?
I was curious of how many participate. My wife is the Scrip Coordinator for Mooberry Elementary (Hillsboro School Dist.), this is what triggered my curiosity.
Thanks

Re: Ever heard of Scrip?
I use scrip to support my daughter's elementary school. Last year it benefited the school a total of something like $28,000.00. Not me alone, everyone participating.
