Man, that really stinks.

Anybody know how those three days of rain we had last week affected the temp?

I don't have a reading on the temp but the fish counts went down for 8-29-01 over bonneville by about 3000 salmon from the previous few days #'s of 12 and 13 thousand fish. It is still around 9000 salmon going over the dam but a significant drop.

O.K...So the water's warm...does anybody know the temp at 35 feet?? Time to cahnge tactics perhaps....Different scent??? Different dropper length?? Spinners instead of wobblers?? I don't know about you folks...but if nothin' is happening...I'd be trying something different. Don't be afraid to draw conclusions...maybe the fish are traveling thru in a different area. Try some NEW stuff....and post your results!!

Johnny...I fished every day last week...water was at about 69 degrees...and warmed up AFTER the rain. No fish for the most part came thru til Friday...and then they were all over the place!!

I dropped a thermometer while fishing in the Gorge on Wednesday. Surface temp: 72. Temp at 50 feet: 72. I was surprised.

I think you guys are swimming upstream. Silvers are pouring into the tribs and they are bitey once they hit the cooler water. Fall chinook cannot be far behind. Fishing for them at 70+F has got to be a problem. Go to the cooler water.
