Default Techniques for Silvers in Nehalem

I KNOW there are a ton of silvers going through Nehalem bay, they were all over the place right in front of it two weeks ago. But very few are caught moving through the bay. Does anyone have any reccomended techniques for catching these fish?

The majority of the silvers that i have seen caught on the Nehalem has been at or near the jaws. A med sized flasher and a plugcut herring with a small banana weight seemed to be the choice. I fish for the big guys so dont know what else to tell you. We boated one on a chinook rig so who knows. We had a lot of takedowns with the herring being shredded. I think it was silvers or jacks.Good Luck. cagey

I fished the Nehalem a couple days ago, landed 2 chinooks (37 & 32), also caught 3 silvers that we let go, about 6-10 lbs.
Not too bad for a half a day!
Cut-plug on the bottom (specially cured of course) ... Saw one other boat land 4, rest of the boats managed a couple.
