Sounds like you had a fantastic trip fishing and the best part of the story was showing your appreciation to one of our fine servicemen. This should be a lesson to us all, that we should be forever thankful for those that defend our liberty and freedom at home and overseas. Take time when you can Dogs to thank a vet! Thanks for the Reminder Mike.

Great job getting him out there. What is the best rig for lings, I have never fished them?

I don't know if there is a best lure, We caught them on
some green & also red painted lead jigs with treble hooks, also with 20 oz jig heads with root beer coler
doubled tail soft lure. I think they will go after anything that moves. --Mike--

I met a gentleman wearing a cap that said WWll veteran. I asked if he served and he replied yes. I said "Thank you". The smile and nod on his face told me I made his day. There are a lot of vets from unfortunately too many wars. We should remember they served because the loved our country, not always the politics. Now that I made my speech maybe next summer we can pick a day and as many dogs as possible can make a "Take a vet fishing day". Does anyone think this is a good idea? I will be gone the next 4 days on an elk hunt but I look forward to hearing from you guys.
