Default Help!!

O.K...I need to go get my "Hatchery" tag...before I'm out of business on my regular tag. Been to Fisherman's Marine Supply (They say they're out...duh...so what else is new...and am I surprised? NOT)...Then thinking that I would "Find it at Freddy's"..found out the folks at the Oregon City store didn't know "Jack". On the way home...trolled thru Bi Mart...and the guy there told me no luck there and that someone else went to the ODFW office in Clackamas to get his. So help me out here before I burn up a hundred bucks worth of gas..and tell me where I can get one of them "Hatchery" tags... Pllllleeeeeaaaaaassseeee??

Not that I've needed one, but I think you have to get the hatchery tags from ODFW

I picked all of mine up at G.I. Joes but that was awhile back they said they were only getting a set amount of them. You might have to try ODFW headquarters. Buy a couple at a time, worth it.

I too had a rough time of finding this tag, and that was 3 weeks ago, eventually turned up at OC Fishermans. I don't know how much you fish the Columbia, but a Washington Out of State license might be a good option. If they are anything like those past, it should be good for 30 steelies and around 56 salmon(after refills). If you're strictly sticking around Oregon, then ODFW in Clackamas might be for you. You'd think that since they made these available, most retailers would have more than just a few, especially after increasing the bag limit to 3 on several local streams. Good luck and see you on the river soon.

Here's the situation. ODFW offered Hatchery Tags to all it's dealers. Because the tags are not computerized, they are like script. The stores were required to purchase them in advance. Many stores chose not to do this. Many stores didn't buy enough. Consequently, these things may be hard to find. Call ahead or go to the ODFW office to save yourself a trip.
