Default General opinion question....

So i bought a new 4runner last week a 92 and was a sweet deal well i took it to the tranny shop and had the tranny pulled and everything from the trnasfer case to the tranny resealed. Then they said my torque converter needed to be fixed cause it was leaking or somthing. Then some cbl in my tranny needed to be replaced cause it was snapped and this can cause hard shifting. I ended up going 1550 into the hole with all of that i took it to aamco transmssions now in your opinion or for you guys who know this stuff is that a good price with labor and everything? Thanks for the imput..

most of that was labor, although the torque converter is kind of expensive, it was mostly labor. They charge an outrageous amount per hour and then you throw on top of that 4wd and the price instantly goes up........we paid $2500 to have a small part replaced in our old caravan took them a week to do it, it was classified as a rebuild, what you paid is high, so is what we paid....but I would rather go someplace that is not a little grease shop and wonder.
