Default Tuna Weekend

Any fishers interested in a practical on blue water Albacore Tuna fishing can join our small sport fleet on any day this holiday weekend. The plan is to camp near Depoe Bay and run out to the fishing grounds every day at first light. Plan on 125 miles travel on your boat after trolling all day and 3 or 4 hours of fish cleaning and fileting when you get back. We took 39 fish for 600 lbs dock weight on last Sunday.

The fish are all sizes averaging 15lb, with a few 4lb peanuts up to 25lb. If you have a seaworthy boat, big fuel tanks and want to try this fishery, E me for details.

The charter fleet is on the Tuna too. On our latest foray we saw the 'Irish' and another unidentified craft tearing them up. Also a Submarine was patrolling the waters on the surface near the fishing grounds. We never saw him but he kept warning the fishing fleet to stay 2000 yds away on VHF Ch16. Rumour is that it was a WWII fleet boat on patrol for high seas drift netters.

RJ - You need to tell Wak'm & Stak'm that his new love had better encourage him to go after the tuna this weekend or this relationship will not work out.

It is bow hunting season, the tuna are running and wak is walking around with glazed over eyes smelling the flowers. I can think of nothing sadder for a sportsman.

Love stinks! No, wait, that must be my boat I'm smelling. I only scrubbed it once, not the necessary 10 times after a Tuna trip. Hey RJ, we might be able to find you a seat. E mail me and I'll try to get you in if Wak flakes on you.

Hey you guys, And aunt M, gee you miss a couple fishing trips and you turn on me like a pack of hungry dogs.
At least I will go down with a smile on my face. Just so you all know, I looked for a gal who likes fish, because altimantly that is what will keep a relationship together.
Hey RJ, you have to take some ownership, you scanned the pictures, that got me all messed up. I did not abandon you, aunt M will you find Ron a women???
I have not ruled out a tuna trip, YES I want to go, I hope it works out.
The ocean had wind on it today, but not enough to break it up to bad.
PLEASE LET ME BACK IN YOUR CIRCLE< I WILL TRY TO FOCUS ON FISH,

Hey, aunt M, I think if we get one close I can net her fror Ron.
I know Ron, if she can't run a tiller handle or wrap a sardine, He don't want her.
The gal that is coming from CT to meet meet siad , she wanted me to go fishing, so thats a good sign. Who would fly 4000 miles and on the first day in Ore. say Dan go fish.?

"The horror ... the horror ...."

The ocean has canceled our ambitious tuna slaughter plans. Last I checked we were heading for 11 ft swells.

Time to go to a movie or maybe put another coat of wax on the boat. Apocalypse now Redux is out now isn't it?

Rj, the tuners and aunt M, woe is me, love sucks......
Nothing worse than planning a 9 day love fest than having her on the earliest return fly.....holy crappie....
I was never aware there was a feeling worse than sea sickness.
RJ , I will send her your email address if you, don't behave.
Aunt M.....I am off to Vancouver Is, this weekend to do some sweet talking and salmon fishing, wish me luck....on the salmon of course

Hey Wak, you never need luck with fishin, just women. Have fun, and if your driving up, feel free to drop by. Don't let RJ talk you into bringing that kicker up with you though!

Tough break on the tuna trip guys.
