I was planning on heading to Detroit on Wed in my boat. I have done good in the past this time of year on bows. I was wondering if anyone has fished it recently and how they have done.
I was up there two weeks ago and did alright on rainbows, about a dozen with the kids. Trolled wedding rings down to about 30 feet and had one rod up on the surface. All methods seemed to work okay. Also caught a few small Chinook too. Trolled from Mongold to the north side of the island. Best action was with the sun at our backs.
A buddy and his dad fished it a few days ago from a boat. They fished for a couple hours and hooked fifteen fish or so. I think they were trolling flasher/worm.
