Question North American Hunting Club

Got the literature in the mail today. $12 a year, you get a magazine and some other stuff out of the deal, supposively they send you free gear to field test? I was a member of the North American Fishing Club for a couple years a while ago and was never one of the "chosen" ones to get free gear? Anybody have any experience with either?

I was a member a few years ago. I didn't recieve anything to field test, but that's the norm for me. I got their letter in the mail too the other day. They had some kool things in the letter. A few stickers for the truck. some address stickers. I think i'll sign up again just for the heck of it 12$ a year......Maybe they'll send me one of the new bowtech's (general) to field test:grin:...?

I was a member for a number of years and I did get to field test a couple of small items - - 'nothing serious - - a knife sharpener and a shotgun cleaning rod/brush/thingy. Don

I will never do it again.
They hounded me on the phone and by mail. Sent me stuff I didn't want and then told me to pay for it. When I sent it back, it was always returned or resent to me. Threatened to send me to collections until I told them that it was against the law to send me stuff I didn't ask for and charge me.

I just toss the letters.

Been there done that! You have to buy their promotional material...books, videos etc to be put in for a drawing to field test gear. I put my money toward the reputable conservation groups that works for wildlife, habitat and pro hunting legislation.

Same here. It was worse than signing up with one of those 12 CD's for 1 cent deals.

I'm with Limbhanger and riverswild on this one man. That stuff is just regular junk mail to me these days. I gotta big kick out of alaskan's post about the 12 CD's for a penny...way too funny. BMG Music anyone? "Buy just 1 CD at regular price in the next year and get..."

I joined up several years back for the rag. The stuff they send like knives, jackets ect.... is all cheap junk even Walmart wouldnt sell.

They constantly send the "Youve bean selected to pay money and be a Life member" junk mail.

They have never sent me anything to test.

But even though I havent renewed in years they still send the rag and it is decent as far as hunting mags go.

You would be just as well off to stop by the Skoal booth at the sportsman show as fill out thier servey acting like you chew. Then they will send you thier Nascar/Hunting mag every few months for the rest of your life.

Either one is good for a whitetail article or 4 every month.

Oh and if you want address labels just join DU or RMEF.

Rick Lee (not sure if I'm complaining or what)

I have to agree with Limbhanger also. My 15 year daughter somehow was signed up with them. When they said she did not pay the $12.00 fee they were going to send her to collections. I payed it so not to ruin her future credit. Every time I call there trying to get them to quit sending stuff and to delete her membership I get nothing but a recording. Does anyone have a different phone number that may help me? I can't wait to get this membership out of our home.
