I was thinking of going to KP tomorrow for strugen, will there be any fish there? It seems more people are fishing lower because of the smelt run. Thanks for any info

In the Columbia around Kelly Point (upstream from the Willamette), there are probably fish there, but I'll be honest, the bite has been pretty slow.

Try the Willamette or just downstream from the Willamette for better results.

that a good question! i heading out tomorrow as well, but tonight i gonna go dip some fresh smelt with my wife and then go see what i can do!

Fished below KP Sunday. Lots of bites, but you had to wait them out till they really sucked up the bait. Caught two keeper-size, one over 50. Used fresh smelt and squid. Good luck.
