Default Where did all the trout go?

Saturday I told my fishing buddy "this is gonna be great!" We fished both the Kilchis and N. Fk Nehalem for cutties and not even ONE bite! We were fly fishing with several tried and tested patterns and we didnt even SEE a fish anywhere. My question is WHAT HAPPENED. I could see the rivers had really come up a foot or 2! Did all this water send the trout upriver or wash everything downriver? Can anyone shed some light? Someone mentioned the water was cooler, but not even one tap! Yeah, we've noticed the same. No fish rising, not a sign.
I think the water has them all displaced for a bit.
Just wait it out, they'll be back!
