Default Saturday Duck Reports

I went down south by the elk river today for a morning hunt. I was able hunt a farm feild I have had a few good hunts in. I got there and hiked into my favorite spot to find it preety dry. I kind of figured that there might not be big puddles of water but I had to try. Found a wet spot and threw out the deeks. Saw a few ducks flying, and had one good pass over but no shots. I bagged the hunt early and head home when the sun came out.

We hunted our private spot south of Aurora this morning and had a good number of ducks fly in. I had my 13 year old brother in law with me and he bagged his first two ducks!!! and they were Green Wing Teal to boot!!!! Not too many kids can say they shot Teal for their first. All said and done we had 7 ducks but had the opportunity to take more.

Mudhen on Sauvies was shooting pretty good today. The blue bird day didn't seem to bother the ducks at all and we bagged a few birds each. The blinds on the west side of the lake got a lot more action than we did though - live & learn.
