Shipping Head Ake.
Now I did not know there was going to be a fire in California, and I feel bad for the people's loss.
But, on the 17th I sent one of my scopes in for warranty, down to Irving Ca.
Yesterday, I stopped by the Post Office here in Bend, and checked to see if they got it, they ran a check.
Yea, was the reply, they got it on the 19th, I said cool, as I was told that the post office was burn down.
I called the company on there 800 number, after what seamed like 1 hour, some guy comes on the line, I was nice to them, I asked how the fires were going, he said, well it got pearty dang close, I gave him my tracking number, and said I here your post office burn down, he said, I don't know what you are talking about.
After doing some checking, he came back on the phone and said the guy in receiving has gone home, as his home burnt down, I said man I sorry for his loss.
The guy asked if I had insurance on my shipment, I said yes, how much, I said $250.00.
I was told if I waited 10 more days I could turn in a clame on my loss, I said What are you talking about, you have my scope, it was delivered there on the 19th, the line went silent, I said hello, hello, he came back and said ------------------ we don't have your scope!!!!
I wonder how long it takes to get my $250.00 from the Postal Service??????

going to take a little bit and with the fires I'm sure the post office down there is busy with alot of missing things. I wish you the best in getting your money soon, but in the grand scheme of things, better to loose your scope because of the fires than your house.

Re: Shipping Head Ake.
This might be a can of worms. If the post office says it was delivered then it is no longer the post office responsibility.

Re: Shipping Head Ake.
I am not one to give up on most anything, and when it comes to a scope, or a fishing rod, I well come out in the end.
I called the company again today, had to Waite for 8 minutes to get through, not a problem, the guy said I talked to you on Friday, I said yes, and I have gone as far to let you know that the phone call is being monitored, just like you said I was when I called you, so now I have you on tape (recorded for my behalf), well he called down to receiving, they said, we don't have your scope, may be the courier has it.
I again (with a smile on my face ) said, I am truly sorry about the fires you have had down there, but business is just that.
In good Faith I sent you all a scope for repairs, or warranty.
And after our conversation last Friday, I feel like I am being put off, the postal service said it was delivered, in my book that is a done deal, in my book, please open your pages and call me A.S.P.
When I called 3 weeks ago, I was told to package it in a crush proof container, I did, you, (the co ) said with the problems you are having, we well just turn around and send me a new on, how about a 2X14X44, I said well that well do, like I said, I DON'T GIVE UP...
So tomorrow is another day, and getting close for my hunt.
When we talk tomorrow, and they know I headed out for a elk, I well go buy another scope, just so I can hunt, but I well let them know I am not to tickle pink, with there operation.
Good thing I put insurance on it, but than I thought I put $250.00, after looking at the receipt, it shows $150.00.
I should of looked be for I left the post office.
Ans I approve this rant.
