Default Good resort to get away?

What are some good vacation resorts to get away? I am looking to take my wife to a resort for a weekend. Some that come to mind are Skamania Lodge, Timberline Lodge, and Sunriver Resort. But I have not stayed at any of them. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check the website of Tu Tu Tun lodge on the Rogue just upriver from Gold Beach....one of a kind.

These aren't resorts, but there's so much to do in Oregon, I don't know if I'd want someone else to do my activity planning.
Steamboat Inn is very romantic and historical, the dinners are great and (if you want) there's fishing near by.
The cabins at Cape Lookout State Park look like a super spot to away from it all.
Carson Ridge Bed and Breakfast would be nice.
Sylvia Beach
French Glen Inn
.... there are so many options it's hard to pick a favorite!

Skamainia has a great Seafood Buffet I belive on Friday nights. Nice place with nice views.

Last weekend I took my wife over to the LakeCreek Lodge at Camp Sherman. Very nice cabins. We were in Cabin 3 and it seemed to be the prime view location. One thing I was disappointed to find is their kitchen is closed for the winter, so you either have to cook for your self or go over to the Suttle Lake Lodge or Black Bute.

The new lodge at Suttle Lake is pretty impressive as well.

One of our favorite places is The Heceta Head Lighthouse and Light Keeper’s house. Very cool place, they are circa 1894. Both are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Have fun and good luck!

Kahneeta is a nice place to relax. All of the rooms at the main lodge have been remodeled and they usually have a pretty good band on the the weekends....two night stay minimum on the weekends. The food is fantastic and pretty reasonable for what you get.

I stay at Sunriver a couple of times a year. I just rented a house for the week of Christmas. It is a fantastic place to "decompress" and just slow down if you know what I mean. Rent thru Village-Properties if you can. There are great websites that make it easy to choose a home to rent...the prices are very comarable to what you will pay for a double occupancy hotel room....BUT you get a great private home, no looking for parking....most homes have hot tubs...BBQ's...bicycles...fireplaces...etc. There is a great bar at the resort that has a terrific band and fantastic food. If you go to SunRiver.....be careful and obey all traffic signs and speeds. Police officers in the resort area are now allowed to pull you over for traffic infractions. They are making up for lost time and have handed out something like 1600 tickets since June. Ohhh...this might be a good time to rent at Sunriver....if I'm not mistaken....there is a rent two nights get two nights free deal going on....could be over not sure check it out.
