I guess the question would be....
If you are a fisherman and you are not a member of NW Steelheaders, why arn't you?

Jen, when I try to join it won't accept my registration info. I get a page of gobbledy-**** about posting to a web server when I hit "submit". Halp!

Jack I would suggest you call the Association office and do it that way.

The steelheaders is a great mix of having fun with friends and learning to fish along with having a chance to contribute to fishing and the fish as well as the community at large.

Our chapter got out last Saturday (the 18th) and planted 93 chinook carcasses on the Salmon River above Brightwood. We had a great time! Here are some pictures!

By the way, the reason goop (with a k) is a **** word is because it also an epithet usually used to refer to someone of Asian descent.

Daren Roeser throws a chinook into the salmon river at the brightwood bridge.
Dick Caldwell hands a salmon carcass to Daren Roeser

Eric Neiwert with his daughter Ella gets ready to toss a carcass.

I hae contacted the web master of the page, but no replies..
I'm not sure who is doing the page now.
The best way, I guess, is to call them, as suggested.
It's important. Ifish is a great group, and we can have a voice, but Steelheaders is a really neat, and organized group that can only benefit each and every one of us!
A united voice with lobbying power!

thanks on a large part to the efforts of the steelheaders the hatcherys will stay open, the predation prevention programs are in place, radio tagging of both adult and juvenile salmon and steel head are being done ,the electric weir is gone the fish trap above the hatchery is operating, the chinook spawning beds above the hatchery are closed 9-30 to 11-I I could go on and on what bill hedlund and I have done with the backing of the steelheaders, and that is the key to our sucsess------ you must belong to a large group to have any political clout, and beleive me the steelheaders are gaining recognition in salem with their lobbiest phil donoahue and attorneys Dennis and his partner(forgot his name)----we packed the hearing room I say WE because i am a steelheader and **** proud of it
our chapter only has 12--15 members but they all back what we are trying to do at the moment
why closed membership with only 15 members??????simple- we dont have to argue with any body.
each and every river should have a chapter
