Default Looking to buy a kicker...AN UPDATE

After purchasing a Mercury 9.9 MLBF 4 stroke from Olympic boat center in Fife, WA for a great price of $1799, and having my previous thread removed by the moderators after making some negative comments, I hung the motor. That was on a Wednesday. Fished Thursday, motor ran great. By Monday it was gone, stolen along with the kicker off the sailboat next to me in the fenced, gated, locked, storage area at my apartment complex in Federal Way, WA. They unbolted it, cut the locked cable with bolt cutters and took off.
Do over time.
Still fighting with Ins. companies and trying to find another motor. The next one will have all bolts TIG welded and I'll probably fabricate some kind of stainless steel bar thing that wraps around the lower unit and locks to the trailer frame. Was also thinking about painting everything below the powerhead purple as a theft deterrent. (purple would match the foam I have on the gunnels to lean on)
Anyway, all you folks out there BEWARE and learn from my misfortune.

FYI
About a year ago my parents went down to brownlee Res. for a bass tourney. They were staying in a very well known campground on the Idaho side.
They had around $3000 of brand new tackle stolen out of their boat, the theives did not take any of the electronics, poles or motors just the 3 magnum tackle boxes. They had a hek of a time getting anything from their Boat Ins.Co so they filed their claim on their homeowners Ins. and received 1/2 of the money back. When they called the sheriff Dept. They said that their was nothing that they could do. A couple of weekends ago they went back down to the same place and while they were out fishing, someone tryed to steal their deep cycle battery from their camper.(But Failed) I think this kind of action should not be taken lightly by the law. Stealing of boat motors, etc. is becoming a big thing now days.
