Default social security beach

I have seen this area refered to from time to time, where is it and is there more than one place that has this name? Also where did the name come from and what type of of fishing is done there?

Social Security Beach is most famously known out at Fort Stevens in between parking lot C and Parking Lot D.
You take the second entrance to Fort Stevens, drive out straight until you come to C. keep going. THere will be a road on your left. Take that.
Drive to the end and park, or if you have a four wheel drive, you may, at your own risk, drive on the beach. Watch it here, as tides are very dangerous, and can have you stuck in no time.
It's bank maggotting at it's finest. I love it there!
Do a search on Social Security Beach on ifish and you will find some riggings.

I know people must be fishing it by now. Is anyone doing any good off the beach? Was thinking about doing a family outing to the beach and cutting in little fishing on the side this weekend. Give a report pleeeaaase.
