We have just had 4 to 5 inches or rain. The South fork flow has increased from 25 cfs (the lowest flow on record) to 647 cfs. The North Fork is running muddy. The fish are flying up river (at least the South Fork) so the Bay is probably emptying right now. Hopefully this will cause more fish to move in from the ocean. Not many people fishing this morning. I counted 7 boats from the bridge to Nehalem.

I fished above the Nehalem bridge for about 3 hours this morning. No action as far as I know for the dozen or so boats I saw. The river is real muddy and I'd guess it will take a couple of days to clear it out. Like OLC said, hopefully some new fish will be coming in.

It's always worth the trip. The problem is that the tides aren't the best for fishing the jaws this weekend.

fished the jaws yesterday, 1 chinook, 2 coho, herring and a float.

Crabbing...about 200 women and children, not a single keeper.
