Our friends from Westport were up yesterday, I asked about silvers in the marina, yep with every flood tide. He walks across the street from their candy store, Grace Ann's candies- huge pink lollipop on top, to the marina and fishes. Also said the charter guys are out and back in 2 1/2 - 3 hrs with limits. I didn't ask about perch but from past visits there, I fish off of the rocks on the north side of the marina and have done well in late August. Good luck

HMMMMMMMMMMMM?????????

I have to head out to Westport to sign a loan this week. I wonder if I should take my steelhead rod and cast for those boat basin silvers. Any ideas on what tackle to use?

Thanks bunches. It would sure be nice to head home with a few bonus silvers. I wonder if you can troll for them? I might just take my jon boat down there, as the boat basin is a "no wake zone".

We did good fishing for seabass off the jetty on Sunday. Did not try for perch though.

I didn't think this fishery kicked in until something like Oct. or so. Never fished but that's what I'd been told.
