Default Calling all 20" transoms........

I'm rebuilding the transom on my boat from a short to a long. How high should it be? Is 20" a nominal dimension or actual? Measured along the angle of the transom or plumb? Anyone ever measured their transom?

Thanks,
Freak

It would help to know if you are going to run a pump or a prop.

If a prop than 20" is ok.

If a pump than 21 to 22 1/2 depending on the motor used.

Since we are bothin Vanc, you are welcome to take measurements off of mine if that would help.

Thanks Giz. What make of boat do you have? I'll be running a prop.
