Costco 10'x20' "Garage" ?
Does anyone have one? How did it hold up in this weeks wind/Rain storm? For $129.00 I thought it would be a slam dunk but thought i'd ask my buddies first. What do you think?

Re: Costco 10'x20' "Garage" ?
My daughter has one out in Oregon City - - I got it used from a fellow ifisher. My wife was out there during the storm and hers held-up fine. It's kind-of protected from the wind but, I imagine a good limb-or-two might bring its life to a quick end - - and, she has plenty of big trees around and right next to it. Don

I have had one over my boat for four years now without a problem from snow nor wind. Just make sure that you stake it down!

Re: Costco 10'x20' "Garage" ?
I have one that I use for a cook tent while elk hunting near the coast and usually leave it up for two or three weeks at a time. I use fence screw anchors and ratchet straps to cross anchor it down and have never had a problem with it leaving me in about 10 years. It has survived some really hard blows.

Re: Costco 10'x20' "Garage" ?
I've had mine now for almost 4 years. I set it up with the legs in 5 gallon buckets filled with 3/4 minus gravel. It has held up great considering that it has been set up the whole time I have owned it. We put a couple of the sides on during the winter. I'm having to order a new top though as the seams are starting to give on this one. Sounds like they have gone down in price from when I bought mine. It was $150 then. May end up being cheaper to just buy a new one.

I have ten of them. I lost three of them last winter to wind. Make sure they are anchored down. I have bolted mine to railroad ties and spiked the railroad ties to the ground with four ft. rebar. If the wind is predictible in your area as it is here (from the south) the you want the wind to hit the side of the structure. If the wind can get under the tent, it blows them up like a baloon. This will cause them to come apart, splitting at the seams.

Re: Costco 10'x20' "Garage" ?
I have 2, no problem with wind dammage, altho I have a pyramid brick at each Leg, the tarps last 3 to 4 years, luckily I found a place(Wheeler Dealer) in Eugene that sells 12' x 20' white replacement Tarps for $25, they dont have the extra side & end edges the original tarp has but are much cheaper at about $80 + S&H from the manufacture. If/When getting a replacement Tarp make sure you get the Extra Heavy Duty 10 to 11mil with Solar protection, cause the common 5mil tarps will only last 1 season.

I think its a good buy. The exterior tarp material got pretty trashed after about three years, I just screwed metal roofing sheets on this year. I've been happy with it.

I have one of the old styles (no windows) that I bought for my wedding reception that has been sitting in the box since the reception. I will sell it to ya for $80 if you are interested.

I thought about that myself, how much did it Cost?, & how much work was it for the metal sheating?, & did you need a permit?

Thanks for the info all!
Don it sounds like your Daughter and I may be in a similar area of OC. I will be puting it in the trees to help protect it from the wind but was also wondering about the whole busted limb thing too. I guess i'll find out, sounds like a decent deal until I can afford to build one.

'Exactly our concern when we put it up - - 'had limited options - - settled on protect from wind and risk the limbs. I took gordy up on his offer above and, when the original tarp is gone, we'll probably replace it with sheet roofine in plastic or metal.
