Default Clackamas

After getting embarrased on the Sandy, I'm thinking of licking my wounds and trying the Clackamas. Any info this banker could use would be appreciated.

Barton park has lots of good areas to fish, especially if you are willing to wade downriver to some great holes.Just becareful. And fish the water close to shore hard.Mouth of Eagle cr has some good water also.

Fished Barton Saturday, the water looked good. No fish here, nor with anybody we spoke to.
Good Luck

The Clack is what we call "lottery water" - so much water you have to hit the lottery to nail a fish.

Lottery Water.

Thats a good one. Yep, lots of water and late returning fish this year make for alot more fishing than catching days. I've been hearing of more and more being caught lately though.

I heard some very good reports when the water was up and off color but since it has dropped back down to normal flows the reports have really dropped off. My brother and two of his buddies fished it Sunday from Barton down and he said he must have saw around 30 boats both sleds and drift boats. He said they never had a bump and never saw a fish caught...only heard of one caught out of the boats. Good luck if you go.

I am about to leave work to head to eagle creek for a few hours. With weather like this there should be no excuse required to leave early. Heck, everytime i have tried to get ahold of somebody today it seems that they are out of the office. Probably either fishing or golfing.
A bad day of either of the two is still better than a good day at work.

I was at McIver and Barton this past weekend. Water was great but I never saw or heard of a fish caught. They have to be there.

Talked to my Flyfish bud, said he was at Barton yesturday PM, hooked two and landed one Hatchery Hen about 8#. Said he walked way down, mile or so, saw three other bait slingers with one fish on the bank.
If you see Scott tell him to try working sometime.
