Default big silvers

Fished outside of chinook monday and took six silvers for three of us. 20# 16# 2@12# and 2 small ones. The wind was terrible today and didn't go out. Can anyone tell me how big the silvers get?

Shleprock, I think you are close to the limit. I have heard of them up to 22 lbs but not this size this year.. Well done and since I have not fished out of Chinook, would you tell me the buoy number or did you just go to 12 and 10? I bet jeenie could help you find someone to scan and post for you if you have pictures. We all like to see the pix, expecially of big silvers and nooks.

Set the Hook often,

That's what I would say is a definate score. Way to go!

Hi Snapshot,
We fished out of the Chinook entrance last Friday & for a while on Saturday. FYI, there are Navigational #s on the Dolphins at Chinook and it is marker #5. Illwaco is #1, with Baker Bay in between @ #3. We caught 5 salmon between #1 & #5 on Friday, 2-24# Nooks, and 3 Silvers. We started there on Saturday AM on the outgoing tide and got got 2 Silvers and released 2 Natives, then when the tide started incoming we headed for Bouy 10, and braved the crowds, and got 7 more keeper Silvers and released 5 Natives in about 1 1/2 hrs. We were back in port and the boat on the trailer @ Hammond at 12:30 PM. Hope this info helps, most of our fish came at 12-14 Pulls. Drachir, thanks for the info, I think I will start putting in at Chinook as it is less problems than in Ilwacco. Keep your hooks wet and have a great season. May see you in the water.
