More on ifishstock 2001
It is a potluck bbq with all of the board members, guides, charters, members, etc invited.
We will provide pop and corn on the cob from Bill's duck lake. Someone said something about elk hamburger?
Bait of Eggs has donated the use of his killer bbq.
We will hopefully have fresh crab and fish from the days catch, and Pilar? Tuna? Smoked tuna, Pilar?
There is a birthday girl coming, and they might bring their deep fryer and do another turkey or something...
There will be a trampoline for the little ones... (Be careful!) and badmitton set up, and ping pong.
You bring potluck food to share or just bring hotdogs and hamburgers to bbq for your family. We usually have all the condiments, ketchup, mayo, butter for the corn, mustard... plastic silverware and cups...
Dress warmly, it gets chilly... Depending on river levels, fishing may be available on our river.
A few camp spots are available at our house. You may park your boat in the field, but I think we can only handle about 10 of them. There is a place to park campers... Tents, a few.
Kilchis River Park has camp spots too.
Bring what you like to drink, if you don't like pop, but we will not be providing alchohol nor will be responsible for over use.
What else? Questions? Comments? Ideas?
I'd like to get a count on who is able to come, but so far not many?
I think most are just waiting, but I'd really appreciate an e mail with ifishstock in the header.
The party will begin around 2 or 3 P.M., and last until around 11 or so. Just whenever the boats get off the river.
Hopefully, I'll talk Marie into some fresh oysters. Maybe we can start a fund to get a whole bunch! YUM!
It was SO much fun last year!
I hope to have little prizes and demo stuff from the supporters of ifish, but I haven't organized this yet.
Thank you so much for making Ifish what it is, and don't miss this event! It'll be a blast! Everyone will have name tags, so we know who you are!
Jen

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
I've gotten a few responses of people coming with boats that have open seats.
I wish I could get the guides on ifish to reserve this day for us... Wouldn't THAT be cool? We could show our support by hiring them that day.
Let's see... Tillamook Bay should be starting to happen out in the jaws, river fishing will be open, and with the rain, who knows? Nehalem Bay will be still going on, I think... Should be up the rivers a bit too.
The possibilities are fishy!
Clams? Haven't checked the tides. I think we should go see how many crab we can take out of the bay. YUM!!!
People with open boat seats, e mail me, k?
We are taking Fishrus and Birthday girl, I think, but if not, we'll have an open seat. Took Jeffhead last year. Very pleasant fishing companion. I was getting antsy about catching and he reminded me of the surrounding beauty. So true!

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
Oh! One more option for fun, is putting in here at the house and canoeing down the Kilchis. Bring a Kayak, or a canoe... We have one for loaner use. Very pleasant drift if the water is low, and some fun fly fishing.
We can shuttle if you need.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Better idea is to get our Ifish guides to donate time and trips for gas & grub.

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
RIGHT... good idea, Steve! NOT.
The guides work VERY hard for their money, and they donate trips for contests...
I know you were kidding, but just to set the record straight... NOT!

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
If everyone would bring at least one fishing-related raffle item we could have a great raffle. I'll throw in a few rods and reels, some great ones and some of dubious parentage. The raffle can be winner's choice. That way everyone wins something they like. Whaddya think?

I'll bring a guided trip from Bill!
Oh, wait a minute... I better ask him first!

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
Hey Jennie! I mentioned elk hamburger. I've got a whole freezer full of it and would be happy to bring a bunch out there. Need to make room for this year's elk. I hope anyways. I'll be there w/ all my gear, but could use a ride in a boat. Thanks.

Sorry Jen, won't be able to make it. It is my wife's B-day and we are leaving for Phoenix early Sunday morning. Hope everyone has a great time.

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
I appreciate even those who can't make it, letting me know. So sorry you can't, Tanner, darnit! I figure it will be a bad weekend for about 1/2 of the people who would like to come. There is nothing I can do about that, so I can't be too upset. I tried to set the date really early, like you all mentioned.
Maybe I'll set the date for it next year soon, so you can all pencil it in?
Anyway, I plead with all, even lurkers to come to the ifish party, but please, to let me know, either way. It's a great way to meet fellow fishing people and put a face with a moniker and name... if you have a good memory! Dang, it's hard enough to learn names, let alone names, monikers and faces!!!
I need to know how much of this and that to plan on, so keep those cards and letters coming!
Jen

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
Hey Jen , great moderator, host, personality , I gave away those Mariner tickets for a reason and that is to maybe make it to your gig ! There is an outside chance I could convince my wife to go, especially if there was a seat on a boat that I could tell her we might get a fish
There is an outside shot we could make it and I believe it would be a great time even for a first time doughy (ifish bbq doughy that is )

Re: More on ifishstock 2001
Jennie, I can hardly believe my eyes, You're going all out for any and all and that is almost unheard of in our time. I will try to make some changes and see if I can roundup rags, no pilgrim and others that I have met. Will let you know this week if we can make it. Thanks for your efforts.

Sorry, posted it on the Shilo one, but not this one.
It is September 8th, starting at 2 or 3...
