Default Watch the fish counts this week

With the commercial nets going in tonight take the time to look at the fish counts on Thursday or Friday for fish passage at Bonneville.

Dam you Stew ! Come on....Even if those netter dudes put there stuff next to Gov Island they will be out before an afternoon bite ! Let's fill that lot at Chinook Landing and catch some fish ! It'll only be a matter of hours till fish find your lure from 205 bridge on up I'm gonna be out there Thursday and Friday waiting for that tip dive.....Keep your head up guys !

I'm gonna head 'em off at the pass, and fish below I-205. With the numbers we've seen so far for chinook, they shouldn'r be gettin too many...which means they'll more than likely get another shot at 'em.

Well 2300 yesterday, we'll see about todays
count tomorrow. I have fished above the dam
for about 12 years now, can't remember them
getting to net so early in the season. I do
know that the counts would drop from 10k to about 1k when they were in and fishing was lousy by comparison.

All the counts rose yesterday-chinook, coho, steelhead! Maybe they'll get their share and not have to come back for more.

Had to wait for a gillnetter to move his boat so I could launch this morning in camas saw some salmon not really alot but there could have been more unloaded before I got there.
But man they hit the sturgeon hard,I definatly saw more sturgeon unloaded then I did salmon. Its really nice how they block the launch while they unload there boats .Theres about 15 gillnetters tied at the Camas-Washougal port right now and I saw about five more heading down river towards Vanc.Theres propably that many more that headed back up towards the dam also.I fished about 6 hrs yesterday at government island and about 4 hrs today and never saw a fish caught.I'm really got some kind of a jinx on my boat and me,I've searched and searched and can't find any BANANAS on my boat and I never ever brought one on so I guess I'll just have to keep going till the jinx wears off,I hope its not too much longer (PLEASE!!!) Better than there were, but it's relative. The Dart page shows me the nets did in fact
wack em' for the 3 days.
