Default Tuna Update

Hi every one. It's tuna time again. I have 2 recent reports.

1) Friday Aug 17 2001. Sea Swan, Puffin, Black Rocket and Night Hawk. 15 miles NNW of the Chicken Ranch near Nelsons Island. 1 fish on 'Puffin' and 4 on 'Night Hawk'. BTW 'Night Hawk' was a 17' zodiac with 3 people in orange survival suits. Were they serious or what? The water was 61 degrees but lacked the cobalt blue I like to see. Much effort and very few fish to show for it.

2) Wednesday Aug 16 2001. Taisto Pesola and Krystalflash on 'Celebration' a 58' motor yacht. Between N126 W 45 and N125 W45. They spent the night and fished in 63 degree water, catching 12 nice fish as they cruised into Garibaldi. There is a fleet of Canadian boats loading up on Tuna in this vicinity. This is more than 50 miles from shore. The warm water extends to within 35 miles due west of Pacific City and there is another smaller fleet of commercial guys there.

That's the word.
