The old brown truck is not what it used to be
I'm looking at the end of my summer of salmon unless someone out there can help.
If you know of a '64 to '66 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup in any condition that needs a home I'll take it. My old reliable was wrecked a week ago. It still drives but the front end sheet metal is a mess. Basically I'm looking for the hood, grill and left side.
Anyone? Thanking you in advance.

What's the deal with you and wrecking vehicles? Were there any issues with the drive-thru this time? LOL
Sorry to here about your miss fortune man, e-mail me if you want to the salmon boogy next Sunday. I owe you one for the halibut info earlier this summer.

Re: The old brown truck is not what it used to be
Hey Dave, I wasn't going there but yeah there is a trend. Stopping on 26 during the Sunday evening rush back to Portland is never a good idea. Somebody did that last Sunday (week ago) to cross over to thier driveway. I was not the only one that had a lot of trouble stopping that short. 8000# of truck and boat takes a lot of stopping. Even with trailer brakes and 6 skid marks I still hit the guy in front on me.
Oh well, I went almost 10 yrs without a problem, I guess it's just my turn. Thanks for the offer, I'll get back to you. Probably not right away though since not having a truck is something I want to cure quickly.

Re: The old brown truck is not what it used to be
Pilar,
I might be able to help..my dad has a truck in that range(I think) that has no motor or tranny in it, but has all the pieces you need. It's in O.C., and you would have to pull it home, but for a small fee, we can probably figure it out. Here's the problem, right now he is on a plane going to Minnesota right now. I'll try to reach him on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm sure he has no plans for the truck since the motor went bad over a year ago. Still in good condition tho, and it's a blue sort of color if that matters. Pretty straight, little or no rust. Anywaays I'll check into it, and will post here again when I have more info. Hope to help cure the salmon blues!
