Barview Jetty Night Fishing

[High School Fisherman]

Fished from 9:30-11:00 PM high tide yesterday evening landing 75 Sea Bass, and 4 greenling, the bass were around 8-13 inches while the greenling ran around 13-15 inches. Ill be back again later in the summer, caught them all on a yellow crappie jig.

I was there Wed night and it was a perfect tide. There was 2 people fishing yellow crappie jiggs and they only caught 10 6-8" bass and I fished sand shrimp and only had 1 bite. I can rail on the greenling in the daylight but man you rail at night. Where where you. I was near the painted scuba flag.

I was on the north jetty right behind the campground. My friend and I were fishing the yellow jigs, and my bro and other buddy were fishing small grubs. it was about 50/50 between all of us, I didnt catch any during the day, but nite time the bite really picks up. I was using sand shrimp and the day and all I caught was a Sculpin (ugliest fish ive ever seen!!!). I switched to the jig right at dark and knocked em' dead. we caught most of the fish right on the rocks below us. Our biggest one was a nice 14' bass. Very good eatin I might add. I will definately be back later on in the summer. Later!!
