Memories are Cool>>>>>> (more pics)
This is a pic of my dad with his hawg and me. This bad boy was caught in California were the upper size limit is 72”. Let say prior to this picture I was very fortunate to land some really nice keepers and my dad was getting a little upset with my newbie success. (As much as a proud father could get at his sons success) Well my dad got his revenge by landing this 69” 100lbs keeper. I think this day I was the proudest son on the dock. I know this is one of my dad’s greatest memories in his 60 or so years fishing. I think I was 16 at this time and I can still remember the monkey screw it was getting this hawg in his 14ft aluminum boat with 3 people on board……………………chris

Re: Memories are Cool>>>>>> (more pics)
What an awesome post, XTC! I know I am proud of my dad every time we just get to go fishing together.
The best fishing memories I have made have always included my dad! I am sure your dad is just as proud of you as you are of him!

Re: Memories are Cool>>>>>> (more pics)
My dad usually comes here to Oregon to fish with me about 5 to 7 times a year. I would have to say he is not only my fishing buddy, but also my best friend ........Chris

Re: Memories are Cool>>>>>> (more pics)
Wow nice fish.
I know it used to be good fishing down there years ago. Is it still good fishing? Just thinking I hope that my son has just as good of fishing here in Oregon/Washington area as we have it now.
My dad didnt get me into fishing but my older brother did. When I was 13 on Easter I caught my first salmon with him I will never forget that day.
You are right Memories are great.

Re: Memories are Cool>>>>>> (more pics)
My Dad taught me to fish. He loved it. He lived for it, and now? He.... GOLFS! And, that's all! Nothing but! What happened to him???
It makes me sad. I don't like to golf! I just stare at the dang water hazards and wonder where my fishing rod is. :depressed:

Re: Memories are Cool>>>>>> (more pics)
You guys are very lucky to be able to enjoy fishing with your dads. Cherish it because there will come a time when these memories of good times are all you have.
My dad has been gone 30 years and just once I wish I could've fish with him. I really envy you Chris and Rick.
