hi,
i didnt realize this was in the fly fishing fourm, but the good stuff u told me only makes sence. I will be there fri,sat,sun trolling (down rigg'in) for macks and browns, i have only fished this lake once before for only a day.
U have any tip's on where i should start on the lake and what most plp use there. Im glad to here the wind and rain will help cuz i think im gonna run into alot of it.

Wind also hides all sorts off things that spook fish. bad casts, your fly line landing on the water, your tippet, etc...
All of these things cause fish (especially fish that are large) to beat feet. Wind is your friend. Especially on Crescent because the water is very clear.
I personally prefer Crescent when its blowing around 10-15mph.
If wind screws up your casts, keep practicing because most of my really big fish were caught when the weather was well... awful (which is perfect weather for hooking trouts of unusual size).
I didn't get out last weekend, but I'm going this Sunday for sure.
