My boys first buck
I am a proud papa. My boy got his first buck out of the wagontire unit. We hunted hard in the desert for a big big buck that escaped last year and he was there but we couldnt put a sneek on him for all the wind. So we decided to take alittle field buck. He worked his tail off and was so patient. There was some drama to his hunt but I will post that on another thread. Hope every one had a safe and succesful season. THE KID

Re: My boys first buck
DANDY BUCKS! Congrats! That's wide-open, hard-to-hunt country, and getting a buck out there is a real challenge. I hunt coyotes out there a lot and know the landscape pretty well, so tell your boy CONGRATULATIONS from someone who knows.
And good to see you posting again.

Right on!
He's putting food on the table, and any youngster that does that should be able to feel good about it.

Re: My boys first buck
Well, well. My first mate got himself a dandy first buck.
Way to go Conman! Looks like he should be a great eater too.
You don't want to eat one of those big ole gnarly bucks anyway. (Save him for me. :grin
I hope you can make it over here again next spring for some hammer time at the estuary. (Note to captains out there - this kid is one of the best young deckhands you could ever have aboard.)
