Default Idaho Whitetails

I figured since the late season for archery doesn't open for a while here in Oregon, i would venture up to Idaho and try to whack a rutting whitetail in early Nov..I'm headed way up north so i should hit the pre-rut in full force which is when i like calling the best..Anyone ever hunted whitetail in Northern Idaho? I went up a few years ago and passed on several pretty good bucks and ended up taking a decent one..Going solo so i can hunt the way i like and have about 10 days to get it done..Any advice on those big suckers in the thick brush is greatly appreciated...

Best of luck Cyr. I'll do some asking around, I know a couple guys who hunt that area pretty hard.

Used to get them on the way over and then buy a second tag once we filled the first tag. Those days are long gone. Tags will sell out this year in record time.

Hunted whiteys up by Priest Lake about 10-12 years ago. My brother killed a toad. I passed up a decent 4pt hoping for a SLUG, but never found him. Even during the rut they were very nocturnal.

We hunted them just like we hunted Blacktails.

Wish I had the time, I'd toss in and go with ya. :frown:
