Had this done once. He was at the neighbors and I said how about doing mine for $100. Realized after he got started it was a waste of my money. All he was doing was shoving his hose without a full diameter scrub brush and was spray and wiping what he could reach at the vents. All he was really doing was sucking up the stuff my kids dropped down thereover the years.
I assume the larger, more "professional" outfits would be better. But ask them exactly what they will do and how they will do it!

Wife had it done twice. She can't remember who did it the first time but the second was Coit. It was a woman operator and she did a good job. Even found a hamster skeleton from a pet missing for about 25 years.

I work in HVAC sales... there are some pretty bad systems out there. I would highly recomend Power-Vac. They do an excellent job. I would stay away from the "roto-brush" systems. They are not the cheapest, but IMO, you get what you pay for.
Hope this helps.

I called Roth Heating in Canby since they installed our new heat-pump unit a few years back. They recommended Power Vac.

I had Power Vac out to clean our system just last week. It was spendy
BUT WELL WORTH IT!

This was the second time I have had the ducting cleaned.
The first time was with the hose and roto-brush.

Compared to the job Power Vac did, I wasted my money the first time.

It was amazing how much crud the Power Vac guy was able to blow out of the ducting vents and the cold air returns.

He found things that had been down there from when my kids were kids. It would have been interesting to see a camera's view of before and after. Well maybe not.....

I do recommend Power Vac.
