Default Fishing Deep For Trout on Hagg Lake

Hey,

Does anyone know if there are any better sized trout down deep in hagg lake. I was thinking about trying some down rigger trolling this year any suggestions on what setups to use or even if its worth my time. I just would like to get into some decent fish, im kinda tired of 10 incers. Thanks for all the help!

You need to send a PM to Trollin4trout here on the board. He is the king of downrigger trout fishing and he's very familiar with Haag lake.

You can search for his profile in the userlist and send him a PM from there.

I'm pretty sure Haag is closed right now, however.

Actually, I think Hagg just opened. There should be some pretty big holdover trout in that lake. Not to mention some nice smallmouth. There are some very deep spots there. Around 130ft at full pool if I remembere right.

I would second the PM to trollin4trout he dialed me in at Hagg Lake. Needlefish off a downrigger are definetely the way to go. I didn't catch any "big" trout but had a good time. I fished around 40 feet in July so things are probably very different when it opens back up.

This was a post from last year on big trout in Hagg and should help you find trollin4trout http://www.ifish.net/ubb/ultimatebb....=010162#000007
