Prayers for Jennie and Andrew
Things didn't go so well yesterday. Please keep them in your thoughts. Andrew lost the sight in his only eye he could see with. They will address the situation after he heals, but probably do not want to do more surgery.

According to Jennie's journal entry from the 3rd, Andrew was going in for eye surgery yesterday - on his only seeing eye.
This just doesn't sound good at all

Jennie & her son are both afflicted with marfan syndrom. It is really nasty. You can find more info on WebMD.

Hopefully it is okay to say this. During the operation the lens broke and I assume was not repairable during the operation. Another operation in 3 months may be able to replace the lens. For the time being Andrew is legally blind but I do not know to what extent. Jennie was kind enough to share this with me in an e-mail yesterday afternoon late and again I hope it was okay to share this.
She as well as Andrew need your support at this time with your thoughts of well wishes and your prayers for them both. I am sure Andrews life will be difficult the next three months as he heals and of course Jennie will be making some adjustments to to accomodate his needs. Not sure what we can do for them as a group but if you need anything from us Jennie be sure to ask. We are rooting for you guys.
