Default pellet stove

Anyone use the new pellet stove from cylinder stoves. How well do they work

We looked into them but they didn't seem to work very well. With as much crap as we take for 2 weeks in the woods,packing bags of pellets didn't sound good either.

I had another brand and it didn't put out much heat. Made lots of noise & no heat. Try in hunting conditions before you buy would by my

My father-in-law has one and hates it every year he has to put a starter in it so he now uses a butane torch to get the thing started. Plus it you don't stock up on pellets before winter have fun trying to get your hands on bags in the middle of winter. The plus is the wife won't mind filling them (her hands will stay clean). Not as much heat as a wood stove.

Ross,

Looks like I'll get about 10-12 hrs per bag of pellets. Heat wise it dosen't put out the heat of a wood stove.We are takeing it to northeastern Montana in November to heat a 16 x 20 canvas wall tent,if you are still interested when I get back I'll post how it worked-out.
