Default Fish Psychology

Lately I have been thinking about spin 'n glos. My grandfather always use to pen in black lines onto his spin 'n glos. Nowdays the factory paints those onto some spin 'n glos. The factory paints them in such a way that when the lure spins the black lines make the spin 'n glo look like it's spinning backwards. Why backwards? Why not paint the lines so it looks like it is spinning forwards? Does this affect how many fish bite the lure?

Also what is up with the white wings? Why white? Why not paint the wings pink or chartreuse? The wings could be any color, but most spin 'n glos have white or reflective. I guess the only way to know what fish will hit the best is to prove this over time. Have the black lines and white wings been proven the best over time?

I have some with black wings. I want to know if it really makes that much of a difference?

I've seen times when black wings worked better than white and I've seen more times when the mylar wings were killer, but, most the time, it really probably doesn't matter to the fish as long as you got good eggs with it.

Choose what color you have the most confidence with and you will catch more fish with that color. Confidence is the key.
