Default How is this for supporting kids and hunting?

My brother lives in Cambridge, Idaho. They are closing the schools for the opening day of deer hunting season. At least some kids are getting the correct message.

I can remember school being closed for opening day of deer season when I was a kid. Many many many years ago.

I think it's great.

We give two excused hunting days a year..Students just have to bring in a valid license and tag....I tried to get our board to delay the start of school until the end of September, but they didn't go for it

I grew up in Hillsboro - - no closures but there were definitely some open seats in some classrooms. Don

Pretty common practice back east. Used to have to make up the work before we hunted so we didn't get behind....Thanks Mom!!!!
