Thumbs up A Bright One From Saturday

Went to the Sand on Saturday to try my luck at some Coho.

After a dunking early on, which seemed to have satisfied the fishing gods, I brought in this bright hen.

She went about 10 lbs and was great poached on the bbq Sunday night.

Was using a weighted egg on top and trailing a pink and white coho fly, sorry, not sure of the the name.

She actually took the egg patter. Small and pink was the way to go on Saturday.

I'm hoping to get back out this coming weekend.

I am sure that the rain will bring out more folks, still it should be a great opportunity to pick up some fish.

Too bad you didn't enter the Coho Challenge: you'd be in second place!

Still a nice fish!

Andy,

It is Murphy's Law. If I would have entered the challenge, I wouldn't have caught any fish this year.

Seems to be how things have gone over the past couple of years when I have entered the challenges.

Several of my very best days have come when I forgot to bring the camera, too. Although, I haven't quite reached the point of faith where I leave the camera at home on purpose just to increase my luck on the water...
