Has anyone seen any Umatilla-McCormack Slough NWR Permits show up?

With Duck & Goose season rushing up on us in a hurry, I was just wondering if anybody has seen any Permits from Umatilla NWR show up in their mailbox?

Usually, by this time of year (I'm thinking perhaps even earlier) they've shown up.

In my household we have 2 sets of Applications in and usually "something's" shown up by now. So far this year, Nada!

Just wondering if anybody else has seen their's?

I was wondering the same thing myself Bill. I have not received my card show up in the mail either. Does anyone know what is going on?

The delay was started because of an address error and the results are being mailed out this week.

Given them a call and they will tell you over the phone.

I got the opener,but instead of the #1 picked as I hoped, I drew lucky #13.

I was worrying to, I figure my application didn't get there in time, but I guess I might be still in luck.

I feel better...

I don't usually put in for any early hunt dates, so that's not a problem for me...

I'm just glad that I'm not the ONLY one

to not get their permit back "around time".:grin:

After making the call this morning and being told the results are being mailed out ths week, mine came in the mail today verifying my dismal draw.

Yeah, no need to call them. She told me they were mailed out Friday. We should be getting them in today or tomorrow's mail.

It's sorta like Christmas!

If it were 15-20 years ago, it'd really be something to be upset about. But anymore it's not that big a deal with the way things are over there.

(Although word has it they're planting lots more Corn AGAIN in the area.

Maybe "things" with Waterfowl numbers will improve over there once more

If I were going to get excited about any of those dates, I'd take the middle one over the others.

(BTW, I'm available to "help out" this year with 8 weeks off work during that time, in case you're looking for some help

I got my draw today. Just one pick. I can't believe you drew 3. I don't think I have ever drawn 3 since they started mailing out your pick #. Congrats though.

The boys and I got our cards yesterday and were all successful to some degree - Between us we got a #10, #11, #16 & #18 on various dates. Nothing like waterfowlin101 though

Yeah, Miss Lil and I drew our's...

They're on the dates we wanted, but the draw #s aren't so hot this year.

We'll probably be there anyway, it's sort of become somewhat of a ritual for us over the Thanksgiving holiday the past couple of years...

It's certainly not like the "good 'ol days", but we've managed to scratch something down every time we've gone at this time.
