Default Fishing Reports From down under

Well tomorrow I head out on my first big fishing trip. I am going out on the great barrier reef for black marlin. These baby fish that I am going to be fishing for only weight in at about 1500 lbs so they arent that big. I will post tomorrow about the trip and again on sunday. Wish me luck.

Hopefully you scored on your trip. Marlin fishing is a blast when their biting. My wife and I caught 3 Blue Marlin fishing the Sea of Cortez in one day. What a gas, sheer power and speed. What a shame we didn't get them on video. These 10-11 ft. fish each took over an hour to land. The crew estimated their weights at over 300#. We released all our Marlin and Sailfish on this trip. Good luck getting a 1500# fish in by yourself . The 60# tuna we bagged on that trip took just as long to land, but less aerobatics. Can't wait for another chance to return to Baja's East Cape. I look forward to hearing about your trip. G'day!
