Default How much advance notice need for Charters?

A close friend has some east coast relatives (a mom, dad, 2 kids) flying into Portland Sat eve for almost a week. They don't have solid plans at all. Naturally, the first thing I think of is (what else) fishing charter! Especially this year.
Do short notice, (half day maybe) charters exist? I've never been on one, & don't know anything about them. I fish the rivers just a few hours from Wally World.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do it ASAP!!!

I've heard that all the charters are all booked up for this season.

I've had many of my dates for this season booked since February, and what is left is going fast.

Almost every other guide I know is in the same boat, nearly all booked up.

If you can't find any one for the Columbia/buoy 10/ocean around here you might try farther down the coast, of course you can't keep coho down there.

Try booking a trip at least a month in advance if you need a spacific date.

After this years run of coho, a person should probably book now for next year season, or risk not getting a spot.
