Default Fall time smallmouth

The smallmouth fishing on the Umpqua is really good with the nice fall weather we have been getting. The water is really clear and if you can fish a day with no wind it is even better. We have been still catching over 100 fish a day from 10" to 4 lbs. Here is Mark from Bend who fished with me on Wednesday and did really well.

This was a little better than average but still catching lots like it.

This was the big fish for the day at 3lbs 1 oz but the largest one broke off later in the day.

I always use a drift boat so I can cover lots of water if I have to. Most of the boat ramps or put- ins are at least 7-8 miles apart. This river has lots of long frog water stretches so a motor makes it nice. Lots of people float it in rafts, pontoons, ect... I just recommend you know were your going especially in low water.
