Fished out of Ilwaco today in the worst water I have ever been out on. I knew it was going to be a mean machine when the wait at the ramp was for people skinning out. We went past the green can (end of the jetty) and was fighting 8 foot swells. We turned back around and slid behind the jetty and started trolling. We trolled up to the pillings (miserable) to try and find some calmer water. The calmer water was nonexistant and we found it wasn't getting better as the tide began to flood. We ended up putting 4 nice silvers in the box with 2 natives released and a nice chinook coming unbuttoned at the boat. We made our way back to the can and headed home. Nasty water today people. I was really stupid to fish it and I hope I never fish in that mess again. How did everybody else fair?

We hung around the yellow buoy area till the tide started ripping in then it was off to buoy 10, you are right that water sucked. We put 3 in the boat and had 4 or 5 other hits but no other hook ups. The Son did catch his first salmon but he was hatein life for awhile. I gave him some dramamine so he survived. The bite was on in spurts as many boats got hits then nothing for awhile. Going out again Thursday and hopefully the water will cooperate.
