Re: I give up, what does a Herring Jig look like?
Jet,
These sharp lil rigs are beautiful. Spend the couple of bucks for a rig and buy extras. If they get tangled in rope they are a bugger to get undone without tearing them appart.
They have 6 hooks evenly spaced apart. I like to tie a swivel to the bottom so I can change sinkers or break them down without having the sinker line get too short.
Get yourself a carona box and tear off a piece of the carton to store the rigs. Cut 6 slots in it for the hooks and just wrap the line around it and fold it over. Just buy the ones at the local shop, they work like a charm. They have two colored beads and a little wing looking material and tiney gold hooks that are very sharp. Watch out when these things start comming into the boat.
Have fun and post some pics of the kids. We were getting them six at a time!
Later,
Mr. F.
By the way, when are we going fishing?
