Default Too late for sod in my back yard?!?

I have a landcaper scheduled for Saturday to come and re-sod our back yard. I saw the forcast and it is calling for rain.

I'm looking for the opinions of those that are experienced with trying to get a lawn in at the end of the year. Is it too late?

Many thanks!

We laid sod in my folks place in the pouring rain. It took much better than the portion that was done when it was dry.

The wet soil seemed to grab onto the sod very well.

Check www.accuweather.com for an hour by hour forcast of your zip code. I prefer it to other weather sites.

You'll be in great shape. It should start taking root within about 3 days.

Did you consider doing it yourself.Very, very easy to do.And a whole lot cheaper

perfect timing IMHO. Fall is a great time to put your grass and trees in.

Yep, I think it would be a good time too. I'm about 1 or 2 weeks out from seeding our back yard.

I have laid sod off of plywood because the yard was too wet to walk on. You have nothing to worry about.

The two best times of the year to put in a new lawn (sod or seed) are spring chinook season or fall chinook season...........................you'll be just fine.

As long as the ground isn't frozen, you can lay sod anytime.
